Crystals and Semiprecious Stones Room
This room contains masterpieces of 16th and 17th century Milanese and Tuscan craftsmanship. The articles found here were originally destined for the showcases of the Tribuna at the Uffizi and were rarely used for table settings. Most of the finest pieces were carried out by Milanese master craftsmen, particularly the Saracchi and Miseroni brothers and their workshops.
After witnessing the skill of the Milanese, Francesco I, a passionate admirer of beautiful materials, decided to establish a shop in Florence for the manufacture of semiprecious stones.
