The Jewels Room
This room is given over to Anna Maria Luisa de'Medici's famous collection of jeweled galanterie (tokens of esteem presented to a lady). Only a portion of the original set remains, as Francesco Stefano of Lorraine sold many of them. The rest were transferred to Vienna to be returned to Italy only in 1921. In addition, the collections contains many 16th century jewels given by Ferdinando I to his niece Eleonora for her marriage to Vincenzo Gonzaga in Manua, and which were returned to Florence after her death in 1611.
