Kneeling Windows
Kneeling windows were probably designed for the first time by Michelangelo for use at Palazzo Medici-Ricardi. These windows have exaggerated scrolling consoles appearing to support the sill and are framed in a pedimented aedicule. These windows were used later by Ammannati for the facade of Palazzo Pitti.
