The Luca Pitti Room
The entrance to the museum of the Treasure of the Grand Dukes is called the Luca Pitti Room after the 15th century terracotta bust of the famous Florentine banker who built the original part of the palace.
There is a Medici family tree on one wall showing two branches of the family. There are also eight 18th century terracotta busts depicting the Medici family's most distinguished members.
