The Room of Fame

During the Medici period this room was a part of the service area adjacent to the grand duke's apartment. During the Lorenese period (1770 to about 1790), it was a part of the apartment of Maria Teresa the daughter of Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo.
During the Napoleonic period this area, to include the Flora Room, was reorganized by Napoloeon's sister Elisa Baciocchi . It provided an ample space for a dining room.
After the return to Palazzo Pitti of Ferdinando III, the rooms were once again separated and became a part of the Palatine Gallery.
