The rooms in blue, the so-called Fabric Rooms, were used for formal occasions.
Vittorio Emanuele II and his family resided in a few rooms in the Winter Quarters (in blue) and in the Southern Palace (Palazzo Meridiana in red), until their departure for Rome in 1871.
